Manchester and London to Bangkok in business class £1,200

In a very very rare instance, business class flights to Bangkok are palatable from the UK. Usually, you have to fly off to places like Amsterdam or Stockholm to get prices like these. The flights are with Finnair who has just released a new business class seat. Yes, that means a stop in Helsinki, but they have a pretty swish lounge there. Ohh and if you’re collecting tier points for BA’s status, you’ll get 440 Tier Points for the trip (80 to Helsinki, 140 to Bangkok and the same back) which is 10 points short of Silver giving you lounge access and all the other perks.

The Dates

The dates that are available are from the start of May through to the end of June for both Manchester and London Heathrow. Do take note though, if you can fly from LHR, I would. Not only will you be on an A350 over to Helsinki for less money, but you also won’t have to deal with the dick heads that work at Manchester airport.

Caveats

Yup, the asterisks. This is Finnair’s Business Class Light, so unless you hold status with a OneWorld airline you won’t get:

  • Luggage
  • Lounge Access
  • Seat Selection
  • Priority check in
  • An hour of free internet.

What you will get is a nice bed in the sky for 10 hours each way, plenty of nice food and a bloody lovely way to travel.

P.S. if you go from May 28th until June 5th you get 9 days holiday and only have to put 3 days holiday in at work as it’s the Queens big en.
