From September until November, Etihad has some cheap flights from both London and Manchester (Manchester is about £10 more) to Bangkok in economy. Unlike a lot of airlines, Etihad still provides 20kg of free checked luggage with their cheapest economy tickets.
The flights are easy to find using Google Flights and if you book direct with Etihad, you may even be able to add a decent layover in Abu Dhabi.
